Jim Drake has 45 years' experience in the insurance industry working in risk management positions with high profile companies such as Metropolitan Life, PepsiCo, Price Communications and E.G. Bowman, Inc, a national insurance brokerage firm. Jim joined McKinley Financial Services in July 1991 as Vice President. He was appointed to his current position of Executive Vice President in July 2001. In that role, he is responsible for all property and casualty

functions including hiring and training of sales and support staff. He also develops new business opportunities for McKinley Financial Services and ensures that corporate policies and procedures are up to date with respect to changing federal, state, and industry regulations and protocols.
Mr. Drake recognizes that education is one of the keys to success and he has contributed articles to the insurance-related publication Rough Notes. He authored an Insurance Agent Continuing Education Course for OnLine Training, Inc. of West Palm Beach and has also served over the years as a certified insurance instructor in various continuing education programs. Jim also had the distinct honor of serving as the Community Presenter for the Turner School of Construction Management.
Jim holds the designations of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Chartered Life Underwriter, and Associate in Risk Management.
His business affiliations include membership in the National Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors and the Fort Lauderdale Insurance Advisory Board. Jim is a native New Yorker who received his B.A. in Economics from City College and his Masters of Business Administration from Baruch College. He is married and is the father of two children. |
