McKinley Financial Services' management, staff, and agents are active in a variety of community and public service endeavors. To accommodate and encourage this commitment, Jim McKinley formed the McKinley Financial Foundation.
Started in 1996, the not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) Foundation raises money for higher education scholarships and makes contributions to youth-oriented projects. One hundred percent (100%) of all monetary contributions and funds raised are returned to the community through the Foundation.
Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded 80 scholarships to deserving students and has donated over $500,000 in charitable contributions. An additional annual scholarship is given to a student who shows an interest in public administration. The Company has a long-standing relationship with The School Board of Broward County's Broward County Athletic Association to award 4 scholarships each year to student athletes.

In addition to sponsoring high school events, since 2000, McKinley Financial Services has sponsored the Florida Memorial University Historical Black Colleges Baseball Invitational that is held in Miami, Florida.
